Outside of my therapist life, I prioritize time with my family and double down on what fuels me — running, coffee and hip hop.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, and other distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and release painful memories that may be "stuck" or unresolved. This process provides relief from emotional triggers, reduces negative beliefs about themselves, and yields more groundedness in the present. Many clients find EMDR helps them move through pain quickly and deeply, often leading to lasting emotional healing and greater peace of mind.
IFS-informed EMDR is a powerful, compassionate approach to healing trauma that blends two Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This integrated method recognizes that we all have different "parts" within us - such as inner critics, protectors, or wounded younger selves - and works to gently process pain while honoring all these inner parts. By combining the structured, trauma-focused techniques of EMDR with the self-awareness and internal connection of IFS, this approach helps clients achieve a deeper sense of healing.
Our nervous systems aren't random. They are responding - to our history, relationships, environment, and the moment we are in right now. At times it mobilizes us into action and intensity. At times it draws us toward connection and openness. At other times it protects us by slowing things down or pulling inward. Polyvagal Theory gives us a way to understand these shifts as organized, meaningful, and worthy of respect. As a Polyvagal-Informed clinician through the Polyvagal Institute, we bring this lens into our work so we can listen to your system rather than override it - building more range, flexibility, and grounded choice over time.
I have advanced training in sex therapy for individuals and couples. Sex therapy can include treatment for issues related to desire and arousal, performance anxiety, pain and discomfort during sex, as well as concerns around communication, intimacy, identity, and relationship dynamics. It can also address emotional and psychological concerns related to sex, sexual identity and behavior. I have experience working with clients engaged in kink, consensual non-monogamy, and other forms of relationship diversity.
I have advanced training in Gottman Couples Therapy, a research-based approach that strengthens relationships by improving communication, managing conflict, and deepening emotional connection. I also have completed in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), which helps partners understand and express emotions to build a secure, lasting bond. Together, these methods support couples in creating a strong foundation of emotional intimacy and secure attachment.
